In addition to this, I would propose the Use of the following Venator Map. It has a lot of play Features which could provide fun for all Players Reason for Suggestion: The current Anaxes map only feels a bit bland and boring over the Time, so a Map rotation could prevent playerloss. Nex Posted April 12 Share Posted April 12 (edited) +1 I definitely agree that some level of map diversity would be nice- particularly for support regiments as different maps can drastically change the way the regiment is played, and the regiment's responsibilities in battle and downtime. Personally, I'm more of a Venator Extensive guy, but I totally agree that some kind of switchup (maybe bi-weekly/ monthly) is needed to prevent things from getting stale. However it must be planned very carefully, I have seen servers suffer when not done properly without any planning, and it has horrible consequences. Like losing the player base for a couple of days. However If you will suggest a ventator map, then I believe this is much better. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1257128301&searchtext=fisher+venator It has features such as boarding a Providence Class (CIS Destroyer/Greivous's ship) and much more such as hyperspace and a galaxy system etc. As Baldrick has commented, Venators have a reputation for killing Regiments, such as 41st. The sky box is also not friendly to pilots at all. With Anaxes, Pilots and 41st have space to operate. Regiments can also take turns for outside base patrols/deployments/garrisons. You dont get that with a Venator, its AUX and MHB. Fighting in corridors with 501st, 212th and 327th is a striaght up nightmare not to mention CG and Spec Ops being there too it gets super crowded. Don't get me wrong Venators are a really fun map if setup properly, but with the current layout of Dauntless I doubt it will be a good expierence without turning everything upside down to suit the Venator's layout. Captain Raymond Jacob Holt Posted April 15 Share Posted April 15 Not really sure, but I'd rather NOT have the venator map suggested in the original post. I would also love the sim rooms, but the interior of the ship itself is not nice-looking at all. If there's another venator map with the sim rooms still in it, rather have that then the map suggested in the original post. Also, if this was to be implemented we would have to actually figure out what the fuck the different regiments would actually do during base attacks on the Venator, hopefully at the next Commander's Meeting or something. 5 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
