Experience & Background

Do you have any previous leadership experience?

Dauntless Experience

  • 212th Captain / Alpha ARC
  • ARC Exo
  • RIS Chief Special Agent - Department of Operations
External
  • Admiral
Did you make any notable mistakes in any of these positions?
I believe that the only notable mistake I made during my time in any of these positions was learning when and where for certain phrases to be said. One incident was raised within RIS where an unorthodox training was being completed in Auxiliary Hanger Bay. During the training Enlisted, NCOs and COs alike were competing in a Hand-To-Hand combat match. I found myself caught up in the moment and said something quite unprofessional. This simply put was a slip-up and I have since learned from my mistake. (The phrase mentioned was NOT something that would get me banned by the way)

What would you do in order to be better in a leadership position considering past experiences?
Considering the role I'm applying for and being directly involved with the regiments I think I'd be a bit more assertive with those within any regiment. Ensuring to check in with the CO Teams offering support/guidance when needed. I'd also make sure that the CO Teams are working well with their NCOs and Enlisted and not just working within themselves. When working within 212th this ensured that we were one big functional regiment and not just a CO Team with members.

Another area I'd work on is organisation. I've done well in the past tracking information on google sheets but when working with 212th we did meeting notes for every meeting so that those who missed the meetings knew what was spoken about. I'd like to work with the regiments to develop a good formula for this sort of operation and make it easier for CO Team to track and inform. Another thing for 212th I made was the Training Tracking sheet which again looking through the other sheets from other regiments was a one of a kind. This meant that players could have trainings to sign-off which improved their ability to utilise their equipment without it being a necessary task for them to use that equipment.

Role Evaluation

Why do you want this role, and what motivated you to lead?
This is a role I've been working towards since I was 212th Captain. I was asked by Sander at the time, he was SUP GEN, where was ambitions were to which I replied ARC EXO to Commander then to Generals. This was the route I was working towards and now that RIS is being dissolved I'm more motivated than ever to try and grab the position I was working towards this whole time. This has been, for me, a goal I set myself since I got into the CO Team of 212th back in 2024 and now I believe I'm ready.

Why should we choose you for this position?
I believe I should be chosen for this position because I have proven that I'm dedicated to Dauntless by staying here through the highs and lows. I only take LOAs when I physically won't be at my PC and even If I am I will always have my phone where I am contactable.

Through being involved in the ARC Program I am well adverse in the DO's and DON'Ts of what troopers should be doing. I believe that given the role I'd like to ensure that troopers are aware of these DOs and DON'Ts alike. This will ensure that all troopers on base are trained to the same standard and together we can build regiments where troopers are the best versions of themselves where they can achieve whatever goal they set themselves through hard-work.

What responsibilities do you believe this role involves?
  • Hosting Commanders Meetings when no other Generals/HC Members are on
  • Being a Liaison for Regimental Teams if they need guidance on what to do with their regiment. What can be done to resolve certain issues or help work towards a goal where they have felt they have exhausted all other options
  • Following CoC up to High Command and reporting any issues I can't resolve directly.
  • Working reactively with regiments to perform corrective action should something go wrong ensuring that the solution is the best possible one
  • Working proactively with regiments to ensure what they are doing is what is expected and helping them strive to become something better that others want to be apart of
  • Issuing a variety of Rewards OR following through with disciplinary action
  • Monitoring and Improving the Health of Regiments across the Server
  • Highlighting issues across regiments wherever they may arise, whether it be using corrective action against a rule break or otherwise
    • This maybe in the capacity of leading the regiment until a candidate for an Officer role has been chosen or as simple as hosting trainings/tryouts

How would you handle conflict, disputes, or disciplinary issues within your unit?
As the role I'm applying for directly works to handle these exact issues I'd handle these issues highlighted as follows:

Conflict - This type of issue would be handled similarly regardless of the parties involved, Ranks or Otherwise. Both parties would be spoken to directly by myself to hear both sides of the story. I'd inquire as to see any evidence as to what started the conflict and try and assess which party is at fault. I'd try to calm both parties down assuming that emotions are running high to a point they'd be happy to speak again to one another with myself acting as a mediary between both parties ensuring that emotions are kept on the low and for a resolution to be sought where both parties are happy. If both parties cannot come to an agreement then actions can be put in place to ensure that both parties remain objective with one another and emotions don't get involved. This ensures that professionalism is maintained and should one another decide to start conflict again then the individual will be dealt with accordingly as this will prove to be a breach of agreement between the parties.

Disputes - This type of issue can be solved quickly and effectively. If this is an issue with myself then I would seek out advice on the decision I have made to ensure it's the right one. If proven to be so I'd speak to the disputee and inform them of my thought process and why it is the way it is. This would be my way of educating the person so they are to know what to expect in the future. Should I be wrong in the instance then simply put I would do what I can to set things right.
If this was an issue between other parties where I am not included I'd again speak to both parties and advise on which party follow the correct proceedings and then work with the opposing party so that they understand why these decisions were made.

Disciplinary Issues - This would be actioned very formally and in a setting where the party felt comfortable. This typically would be the extreme case where all other options have been exhausted and chances for improvement have been given. I'd ensure that evidence of what happened during the disciplinary proceedings are submitted and then later reviewed by HC to ensure that policies and procedures have been followed. This ensures that the person being disciplined has had what is deemed fair warnings with no sign or want for improvement.

How would you help contribute to the branch's activity, engagement and RP quality?
Activity within the current generals team has been left down to just Jaul which means he's been left to do all the work by himself for a time-frame where another general could have been recruited either, like this, or by directly opening up applications. I would like to constructively help the generals team with as much as my free-time allows. My activity has opened up again now with holidays all out of the way and work assignments starting to slow down due to the exam period ending. This means that my activity following on from June until after XMas will be here helping where I can.

Engagement simply put is all about working with the troopers to work towards a goal at that time. We can keep troopers/players engaged by giving them something to do. We have field vehicles that could be RP Constructed/Worked on during downtimes to increase asset capacities or increasing the HP/Shields via LCS Tools. This may require staff to do but provided the RP is there from the Engineers and the Event Host is happy with it then why shouldn't it work. This would allow for more cross-regimental collaboration. I.e. CE could request for Resource Requisition so 104th WP could be sent out to find the mineral deposits or broken assets that could be salvaged for resources. CE could then go out into the field with the cover of let's say RC to ensure that the salvage is successful and local salvagers don't try to compete for the resources. Then the escort back to the base. 212th Then work with CE on what they want doing to the Vehicles and collaborate on what they believe would work best. CG would also have some involvement being able to arrest and interrogate any parties looking to salvage the remains and gain intel on who sent them, where they got the tip-off etc. This all around is just one example of what could be done with minimal staff intervention and just using what is on the server outside of events.

RP Quality is something I tried working towards when I was staff, encouraging dice rolls and /rp from ALL regiments not just CE. Yes CE does a lot of there work in the textbox on the server which means they know the score when it comes to not just what structures a decent RP setting but because their engineers they have the capacity to be a bit more creative with how they can workaround stuff, we seen this in R&D as RIS. Other regiments should also be encouraged to roleplay too. There's nothing stopping CG being called to a wild Massif and working to adapt and bring it in rather than it being your typical shoot-on-site. Wolfpack can be encouraged to work with civilians during scouting operations to improve intelligence and find out the locations of certain objectives. 212th could have weekly tank maintenance duties outside of CE repairs of course where if rolls are awful then CE have to get involved. Exactly like what Medics do with check-ups. Yes weapons checks are a duty of CE but when do they happen, I've not seen them for a while so excuse me if I'm wrong. Simple passive things can go a long way it's just a matter of working with regiments to structure these things into their schedules outside of trainings.
