Dear the almighty staff team,
im writing this appeal about the one-week ban I got from Boom. The ban was for when I shot a war criminal with the turbolasers who was being escorted onto a ship by CG, and in the process I ended up killing the CG troopers too. I now know that is against the rules and that I should not have done it, even with roleplay in my mind.
At the time, I really thought I was doing the right thing. In my head, it made sense to stop a war criminal from getting away, but I didn’t realize that interfering in that kind of escort situation was off-limits. Looking back now, I get that what I did ruined the RP for the CG who were just doing their jobs, and it broke the flow of the event for everyone involved. I didn’t mean to cause problems, but I know intent doesn’t change the fact that I messed up. I enjoy playing on Dauntless Gaming and don’t want to be the reason other people have a worse time. I’ll be more careful in the future and check the rules before making choices like that again. Lesson learned.
I’d appreciate if you could consider reducing the ban or letting me back early, but I completely understand if I have to wait it out. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
